I was born in Manila, Philippines, and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. I am the author of Gravities of Center (Arkipelago Books, 2003) and Poeta en San Francisco (Tinfish Press, 2005), which received the James Laughlin Award of the Academy of American Poets. LOVE this. Love it. Great use of slant rhyme, too, esp. on deep and repeat.
Collin, thanks so much for commenting on all my poems. I was just saying the other day that I don’t think other po-bloggers are interested in our blogs unless we are blogging about them and creating/fomenting drama in the process. Anyway, glad you caught the slant rhyme. I didn’t even think of “repeat” as part of it.
